These beautiful animals have cream colored fur with chocolate stripes, blue eyes, pink nose and paw pads. It is a color variety of the Bengal species, which inhabits India, Nepal, Bhutan and some other countries. It is the most numerous tiger species out of 5 remaining. Such color variety is very rare, because the gene that causes it is recessive. So, a cub with such a color is born only if both parents have such a gene. In captivity these animals are reproduced by inbreeding (breeding close relatives.)

The importance of breeding these animals is argued upon, because many specialists believe that breeding these vulnerable animals is scientifically pointless and in a way detrimental to the programs aimed at preserving normal animals in the wild. These inique animals are priced for their beauty only; they are not well adapted to living in the wild, as it’s more difficult to hunt having such a noticeable coat. Great sums of money are spent on breeding these beauties in the zoos, but conservation of wild animals needs more investments and efforts.
