Bridled Wallaby

Bridled wallaby has one extinct species others are protected under conservation laws while babies of the Northern Nailtail are still common. The scientific name for this Nail-tail species is Onychogalea fraenata; it is found only in small area around dingo in Queensland. There are three Nail-tail species, one of which, the Crescent Nail-tail is extinct and only the Northern Nail-tail is still common. They are so named because of the horny spur at the end of the tail. The main problems for these animals are competition with feral goats and domestic cattle, which were introduced into Australia by European settlers, and predation of cats and dogs. Bridled wallaby has one extinct species others are protected under conservation laws while babies of the Northern Nailtail are still common.
