Tres Marias Amazons are a bit smaller than Magnas. They feature a bluish feathering on the chest and there is no barring. Its original habitat was three islands off the western coast of Mexico called the Tres Marias Islands, where few people adventure because they have been made into a penitentiary.

Tres Marias Amazons are often confused with Magna Double Yellow-headed Amazons, mostly because of their characteristic yellow heads. If you take a closer look at these two parrots, you will notice a number of differences. Like all Amazons, these species are very intelligent, playful and vocal.
