These animals occur in gray coat with a distinctive black strip down the back. They are about 11 inches long, 6 to 7 inches of which is the length of the tail. They are famous for their ability to make long sliding leaps from one tree to another.

This is a marsupial, and it is related to the Kangaroo. Females have a pouch with a nipple inside for their young to feed, and newborns make their ways inside the pouch right after birth.
