This hairless cat breed appeared in the 1960 in Toronto, Canada due to a natural mutation. To create a genetically sound and stable breed hairless animals were crossed to normal coated cats and back. The result is a very robust breed with very few genetic problems.

Breeders Sphynx -
rescues, cattery
These cats are not always hairless; they may have a fine down on the body, which creates the similarity to a peach. The skin of these animals is like suede. The skin color and pattern can be almost any. Contact breeders, sphynx rescues, or a cattery for a kitten.
