The other name of this breed is a Berber Sight Hound. It was developed by the Berbers (the original people of the Maghreb) in Morocco from the large Egyptian Greyhound and was taken to France in the 1860’s after the war in Algeria. Nowadays, this breed is very rare in the USA and Europe.

Also called Arabian Greyhound.
