At the end of the 19th century these beautiful animals were introduced to England and spread throughout Europe and America. They were decorations in parks and than distributed to forests. These animals are medium-sized with a small head and small tail. Males have antlers that are 28-48 cm in length and have 8-10 points and females have small bumps on the forehead. This species is very vocal and can produce more than 10 sounds. Sika deer, when with a fawn or baby, are protected by conservation groups so their numbers do not get too low.
