These animals are good hunters and spend most of their time hunting. Their usual prey is wild cattle, wild pigs, deer and other animals. They need about 40 pounds of meat a day though sometimes they may eat more: about 100 pounds at a time. Hunting is something they cannot do without, and they have to learn to kill throughout their entire lives. Their first attempts to hunt take place at the age of 8-10 weeks, when they start to accompany their mothers on hunting trips. By age of 6 months they can kill small game.
