They are not albinos, as they do not have pink eyes; their eyes are blue. This coat color is defined by a double recessive allele that can be contained in an orange cat’s genetic makeup. In the wild, only one out of every 10,000 births produces such an animal. Those raised in captivity are susceptible to many serious health disorders, and their life span is shorter than that of their orange counterparts.
