An azteka filly is easy to pick out when in a group of horses because it is such a distinctive horse.
These stallions resemble their Andalusian ancestors in their straight or slightly convex profiles, well-arched necks, and abundant manes. Aztecas should have well developed shoulders and medium withers. The chest should be deep and the back should be short and straight.

They are docile, playful, bold, intelligent, and willing horses that were developed as a breed fairly recently in Mexico.
