It is recommended to buy chicks from an experienced breeder, as not all breeders have sufficient experience.
Such birds appeared on the market many years ago; they were imported from Africa, their natural habitat and were rather panicky, skittish and sullen. Nowadays import of parrots and other exotic creatures is banned or restricted in many countries, so they are bred in captivity.
