Sarplaninac
The sarplaninac dogs are very active as puppies.
This breed has several names: Sar Planina, Illyrian Sheepdog, Yugoslav Shepherd Dog, and Yugoslav Mountain Dog. The south of Yugoslavia is the place of the breed’s origin. The breed was first recognized in 1930; the AKC doesn’t register these dogs yet.

The average height for these dogs is 22-24 inches at the shoulders; they weigh from 55 to 80 pounds. The coat of the breed reaches 10 cm in length; it is very dense and protects the animal from the cold weather. The sarplaninac dogs are very active as puppies.
