This breed requires early socialization and obedience training from the earliest age, because adult dogs are difficult to train. This breed is hardy and endurable, but careful attention should be paid to genetic problems that occur in all purebreds. All large breeds are susceptible to hip and elbow dysplasia and these dogs are not the exception. This disorder is hereditary, so it’s important to buy a pet from reputable breeders who screen the breeding stock for typical disorders. OFA certified breeding stock is likely to produce healthy offspring. This breed is prone to joint problems, such as Osteochondrosis Dissecans, Paneosteitis and others.
