Rottweilers make excellent playing companions for children, but it’s better to wait until the child is at least 6-7 years of age before introducing a Rottweiler into the home. Contrary to common believes, properly bred, socialized and trained Rottweilers are not inherently vicious. Unmotivated aggression occurs in these dogs only because they are mistreated or provoked.
