Bitches of this breed are usually good and gentle mothers. They whelp easily and take good care of the puppies. There can be up to 12 puppies in the litter. The owner is sure to have little problems with the puppies. It is very important to socialize and train the puppies since the earliest age, because otherwise they may be difficult to train and adapt to the new family. Without proper training, these pets may become too dominating and aggressive.

By no means should a dog of this breed be aggressive. A high quality purebred dog should accept examination by the owner, a veterinarian or a judge without either shrinking away or becoming aggressive.
