These amazing animals are interested to watch: they purr and mew like house cats and adore sunbathing with their arms and legs spread wide. Inhabiting arid areas they get their liquid from juicy fruits they eat.

The Ring-tailed lemurs communicate within the troop using short grunting sounds; sometimes they use a quick bark. The gestation period lasts for 134-138 days. Females usually give birth to one baby. The young is carried ventrally by the mother for its first weeks and then carries it on her back. The ringed tailed lemur is less intimidating in a picture than in the wild; photos are wonderful though.
