This breed is still very rare, but it continues to gain love of cat fanciers around the world. The cat appeared in the 1960s in California. This is the world’s largest species of domestic cats, males reaching 20 pounds in weight and being three times as big as ordinary cats.

These cats mature very slowly. They reach full growth at the age of 4 years, and their color forms by age of 2 years. They have long hair, which is surprisingly easy to care for, beautiful blue eyes and distinctive Siamese-type pointed coloration.
