The average length of such parrots is 30 cm; the wing span is 14-16 cm. In the wild these parrots can be found in Buenos Aires, Uruguay, Rio Grande do Sul, extreme southeast Brazil, northeast Argentina in provinces of Entre Rios, Santa Fe, and Cordoba.
