Also called Perro de Presa Canario, Canary Dog, Dogo Canario.
This breed is characterized by a very powerful body build, massive head with strong jaws, Mastiff-type thick-jowled muzzle and thick skin. The coat is smooth and coarse, usually occurring in fawn and different brindles. Occasional white markings are also acceptable.
