The porcelaine is a rather rare dog, so you can buy it from reputable kennels only, but not adopt from rescues.
The name of the breed refers to its shining coat. In the 1700s, the breed was considerably larger than the modern breed of today. In general, it is a very distinguished-looking dog with a finely chiseled head. The dogs have a black nose with wide-open nostrils, and a flat forehead.
