These animals know no borders. They are spread from Russia to Alaska, from Greenland to Canada. Many biologists think that nowadays these animals became smaller in size, weigh less and the amount of the born young is also smaller.

Nowadays, there is no exact information about the number of these animals. Biologists estimate their population at not more than 27000 animals.
