They vary in size and color combinations, and can be found all the way across the USA. The body length averages 11 to 13 inches, and weight measures 1.5-3 lbs. Prairie Dogs produce characteristic barking sounds, which earned them the name. Prairie Dogs are herbivorous, and they reside in hollows.
