Beavers belong to the family of Castoridae, and they are famous for their dam building aptitudes. Beavers are aquatic animals, and they have a distinctive paddle-shaped tail, which helps them maneuver in water. Sharp teeth allow Beavers to chisel wood. Musk glands produce a specific smell. Beavers start mating in January-February and give birth to the young by June. The young Beavers reach maturity at 2-3 years of age.
