About 400 years ago in the former Kingdom of Hanover, today it is Lower Saxony, in northern Germany, a flourishing horse-breeding industry existed. The Hanoverian horse was developed there and since that time has been dispersed to all five continents. Today, it is one of the most prominent breeds of riding horses in the world. These horses are known for natural balance and floating trot.
