Pot Belly Pigs were brought to the USA in 1984. These pigs are very intelligent and convivial. However, they can be rather wary; therefore it is not recommended to leave them around children unsupervised. Coexistence with dogs is absolutely inadmissible, since pigs are dog's natural prey. Newborn piglets weigh about 2 pounds, but they grow rapidly, eventually gaining 100-150 pounds. Pot Belly Pigs stop growing by age of 4 years.
