They closely resemble common Donkeys in appearance, except for their size, and they make excellent home companions for people of all walks of life. They originated in the Mediterranean region, on the Islands of Sicily and Sardinia. The smallest donkey measures 26 inches high, and the smaller, the more valuable a species is.
