Canadian lynx inhabits mostly forested areas of Canada, Alaska, and some Northern U.S. States. It's generally a solitary daytime hunter of small rodents to deer with Snowshoe Hare as favorite prey. Its triangular shape, tufted ears, stocky body, long hind legs, short stumpy tail, and large fur paws characterize it. Compared to other lynx, the spotted coat appears faded by the thick tawny to gray colored fur that seems "frosted" from the white fur tips.
