Seals
Seals’ round bodies taper into rounded heads with flat snouts anteriorly and short, flattened tails tucked between hind flippers posteriorly. 5-digit fore- and hind-flippers allow water movement, but on land, Seals inch like caterpillars. Hormones trigger their thick short hair to molt after breeding or weaning calves. Long sharply pointed teeth grasp and tear aquatic life forms that Seals swallow in chunks. Seals don’t chew. Non-aggressive isolationists, most seals loosely group with other pinnipeds.
