Three classes of lynx-cats exist: Iberian (Spain and Portugal,) Eurasia (Turkestan and Central Asia,) and Canadian. The American versions are descendants of the Eurasian variety. They are primarily found among forests however, some are found in the deserts. Lynx cats are known to migrate distances for food. Although they can be aggressive, they generally avoid confrontation. Lynx cats are medium-sized with long legs, large, well-furred paws, long tufts on the ears, and a short tail.
