Abandoned fox or badger burrows and abandoned buildings are den sites for Jungle cats and their litters of 1-6 kittens. Their habitat ranges from Volga River deltas to Egypt to Indochina including Thailand, Vietnam, and Sri Lanka. Jungle cats prefer moister habitats with water nearby, but adapt to drier climes feeding on small mammals, reptiles, or fish according to habitat. Their coats are generally sandy/yellow-gray to gray-brown, or tawny red with creamy under-parts with faded markings.
