Cheetahs hunt gazelles and other animals from Africa to India using high bursts of speed up to 70 mph for 300 yards. In bushes or grass, Cheetahs conceal themselves while stalking prey or hiding from predators. Long lanky bodies with disproportionate smaller heads are adapted for speed. The tawny short fur has small solid black spots except for a longer white underbody, a ringed black and white tail, and black outer ears, lips, and nose.
