The Doberman Pinscher is alternatively spelled as Dobermann Pinscher depending on the country. This Doberman Pinscher dog is the most recognizable breed. It was developed in the mid 19th century in Germany. It's a hybrid of the German Pinscher, Beauceron, Rottweiler, English Pinscher, German Shepherd, Greyhound, and English Greyhound. Formerly used in law enforcement, it retains a prominent position as a family house pet nowadays. This Doberman Pinscher dog was the invention of a tax collector of the same name. Fearing thieves, he bred the dog to attack assailants in compromising situations.
It was first introduced in 1876 with wild applause. The German Shepherd lends the bulk of the traits to the Doberman Pinscher dog. Its aggressiveness and loyalty prove a fatal match for would-be bandits, thieves, and rebels. The Doberman Pinscher used to be one of the most ubiquitous dogs, and it's the most famous because of its occupational roles and media coverage in select countries. However, it loves spending time with doting owners. Senior citizens, considerate children, and young couples do well with this gentle-hearted protector. The Doberman Pinscher is a fierce protector in times of distress too.
The Doberman Pinscher weighs 75 to 100 pounds for males and 60 to 90 pounds for females. The height for Doberman Pinscher males is 26 to 28 inches and 24 to 26 inches for females. The prickly, point, rough coat comes in black, red, white, blue-gray, blue, and fawn. Fawn is light yellowish brown. A docked tail, scissors bite, straight legs, cropped ears, and dark ears are some bodily characteristics. The Doberman Pinscher dog has a compact, medium-build, well-muscled frame, a broad chest, and a slim profile. It lives about 13 years, and it needs a lot of daily exercise. Some Dobermans are white, albino dogs that have a special gene that maybe produced white tigers.
The Doberman Pinscher only attacks after ill treatment, or if it's been seriously provoked. It will also defend its family. It's involved in less dog attacks than several other breeds. There is mild variation of this dog's temperament, but it's very faithful, dutiful, and loving in general. However, these Doberman Pinscher dogs have violent or vicious stereotypes. The Marines used them extensively in World War II, especially at the Battle of Guam. The memorial stands there to remind everyone of the roles they played during that battle.
The military and police love the Doberman Pinscher dog because it can take out human assailants if the situation calls for it. However, most Dobermans are fine family dogs that happen to love children, other dogs, and cats. Don't let their stereotype contradict your warm feelings toward this dog. Most Doberman Pinschers do not have the vicious streak of Dobermans in specialized fighting roles. On the other hand, they're great dogs to protect your family with, and two or three are a hurdle to burglars. Doberman Pinschers are gentle, yet fierce when needed.
