The Mexican Hairless dog is an ancient ancestor to the hairless dogs called "Biche," which means "naked." The Aztecs enjoyed the hairless dogs as pets, but also found them useful as bed warmers. Today, this breed has become a companion dog especially for the elderly, and still makes a good bed warmer.
Also called Tepeizeuintli, Xoloitzcuintle.
