The Belgian Malinois is a serious and watchful, protective breed. They should be trained and socialized very well from an early age. These dogs make excellent police and guard dogs, as well as excellent pets. Their Belgian city of origin is Malines. They have been known to excel in tracking, agility, obedience and protection. These sheepdogs have a short-haired coat which is easy to groom.
