The Small Munsterlander was created in the early 1900s in Westphalia, Germany. It is a cross between old-time Spanish spaniels, German Pointers and other continental gun dogs. Herr Edmund Loens developed the breed. The Small Munsterlander is a devoted companion and excellent pointing and retrieving dog.
