The Large Munsterlander evolved from the Small Munsterlander in Munster, Germany in the 1800s. This dog is a versatile hunter and can be utilized as a retriever, tracker and a pointer. It is also able to work in almost all weather and terrain. It never seems to show fear or fatigue. Dependable on both land and water, this dog is a valued asset in England, Germany and Canada.
