The Cesky Fousek is a gundog belonging to the family of wirehaired pointers of Continental Europe. These animals were bred to work in the forest, fields, and water. The Cesky Fousek existed in the times of the Bohemian King and Emperor of the Roman Empire, Charles IV (1316-1378.) This dog breed was almost completely decimated by World War II, but thanks to the efforts of persistent breeders it has recovered nicely.
