The Mudi is considered to be one of the oldest herding dogs from Hungary, even though its exact origin is not known. This dog is still considered a primitive breed and has never been systematically bred. The Mudi is a true farm dog that can be used for many things. Today, they are still used for herding, watch-dogging, and hunting small vermin and even boars.
