The Czechoslovakian Wolfdog is a cross between the German Shepherd Dog and a Carpathian Wolf. The initial crosses began taking place in 1955 in the CSSR of that time. These dogs are exceptional at following a trail and have been used by many armies. In 1982, the Czechoslovakian Wolfdog was recognized as a national breed by the breeder's association of the CSSR.
