The Belgian Malinois is a serious and watchful, protective breed. Belgian Malinois should be trained and socialized very well from an early age. These Belgian Malinois dogs make excellent police and guard dogs, as well as excellent pets. Their Belgian city of origin is Malines. Belgian Malinois have been known to excel in tracking, agility, obedience and protection. These Belgian Malinois sheepdogs have a short-haired coat which is easy to groom.
