South Russian Steppe Hound

The South Russian Steppe Hound was developed from the same lineage as the Borzoi in the former Soviet Union's Caucasus Mountain region. The South Russian Steppe Hound lived with the Kirghiz tribe and they used the larger hound dogs for coursing wolves and the smaller hounds for hunting hare, fox and deer.
