The Beagle is a hallmark dog; some might say a poster dog, for the adorable characteristic. Charming, globular, lustrous puppy dog eyes and ears resembling huge swaths of over-flattened cookie dough make this dog especially cute. A small, squat appearance with not-quite-stubby legs and a tubular body only add to its prettiness. The Beagle is a type of hound with a short, easy-to-manage coat that requires little grooming. It can come in a variety of colors, including black, tan, yellow, white, and orange. Oftentimes, it’s a mash-up of all these different colors. Many people say that it resembles the English Foxhound except for its more diminutive frame. The Beagle is a type of a hound with a yielding, supple expression. There's nothing really averse about this dog's personality. It’s brave, bold, and affectionate. It cherishes the company of people, children, strangers, and other pets. It's unafraid to try new things; it's not reticent or scared. Its expression and disposition is endearing. It weighs 20 to 25 pounds so it can be picked up by children and carried hither and thither. It measures 22 to 25 inches for males, and 20 to 23 inches for females. The Beagle needs outdoor playtime in a fenced yard. If not properly exercised, it will become despondent. Its sense of smell and imagination will seduce it to wander off, and many are struck by moving vehicles. It can get heart disease, spinal problems, skin problems, epilepsy, and eye disorders. It has a tail that always goes back and forth. It can reach precipitous pound levels quite easily; avoid an obese condition with a veterinarian-recommended dietary regimen. The Beagle has brown eyes, a square body, and a look akin to the English Foxhound. Its coat is easy to groom, and it comes in orange, white, or lemon colors. Don't let it be outside without a leash or fence because small rodents and birds will be too tempting for the dog to resist running after. It is well known to have a keen, acute sense of smell that was bred into it in Great Britain. It's used to hunt game and waterfowl. Its smell lends it to narcotics detection work as well. It can also hunt small rodents like rabbits and hares quite well. It's sometimes referred to as the English Beagle, and the shortened version, Beagle, is synonymous. The dog loves a good, tasty snack and a nap afterward. It's no wonder that obesity is one of its main problems. Special ear care is required to ward off infections like inspection, brushing, and powdering. This dog needs a daily walk. Brush irregularly with a bristle brush and bathe infrequently. Beagles just love good food. It's a shame that many Beagles are employed for medical experiments.
