The Bavarian Mountain Hound is a descendant from primitive hunting dogs, the Hanoverian and Tyrolean scent hounds. This rare breed Bavarian Mountain Hound was founded in 1912 and was used as a hunting dog primarily for trailing wounded game. This Bavarian Mountain Hound breed is a bigger than average hunting dog and is known to have a sleek and very athletic looking body type as well as being not susceptible to many diseases.
