The Tasy is silky sighthound also possessing a keen nose. It is tan, black and tan, or gray in color. A native of the desert lands near the Caspian Sea, this nearly extinct breed specialized in hare, fox, marmot, some hooved game, and wolf chasing. Known to have aided in owner survival, this dog needs a human companion who can appreciate its strong will, and life-sacrificing, courageous traits.
