The Tahltan Indians from Canada first bred the Tahltan Bear Dogs. They are said to look like a cross between a fox and a terrier. They were used to hunt wild animals like bear, even though they are smaller dogs. They made up for their lack of size with their feisty and brave temperament. Today, it is not known whether this breed is extinct or not.
