The Peruvian Inca Orchid is believed to have existed since 750 A.D., originating in the settlements of the Moche people of Peru. They are hairless sighthounds and possess the typical sighthound personality. They love the excitement of a chase. The Inca aristocracy kept the hairless dogs in their homes as bed warmers and pets. The hairless dogs were not permitted to mix with the coated dogs that the Indians kept for hunting.
