It is believed that the Kromfohrlaender was developed in the 18th century and then crossed with a terrier after World War II. A native of Germany, this dog is not well known outside of its homeland. These dogs are alert and lively, yet affectionate and obedient. The Kromfohrlaenders are hunting dogs, but they also make great watchdogs and companions.
