The Hertha Pointer originated in Denmark. These dogs were developed by crossing an English Pointer with another orange/red pointer breed. It is said that they can be traced back to a single bitch from 1864. This breed has a classic Pointer head and has an exceptional instinct for hunting. They are also known for their prowess as field dogs.
