The Japanese Bobtail originated from domestic cats that came to Japan from China or Korea at least one thousand years ago. Like a fingerprint, each Japanese Bobtail has a unique tail. No two are alike. This breed is also very talkative and proficient at a wide range of tones. These animals will almost always "talk" when spoken to.
