The Norwegian Forest cat explored the world with the Vikings and was used to protect the grain stores, both at sea and on land. This breed has amazing bright emerald green eyes that have a band of gold. During the winter months, the Norwegian Forest cat can have a very impressive coat. It is long and thick and its tail can be fanned to twelve inches or more.
